Window shopping for 2026 health insurance on Washington Healthplanfinder is now open—and families across the state are getting hit by sticker shock. Many Washingtonians are seeing premium increases that double or even triple compared to this year.
This spike in costs isn’t happening by accident. Republicans in Congress have refused to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits that have helped keep premiums affordable for families. Without these credits, coverage is becoming unaffordable for too many Washingtonians.
I’m continuing my work in Congress to find a bipartisan solution to reopen the government and end this health care crisis.
