This week, the Washington Insurance Commissioner finalized the 2026 WA Health Benefits Exchange insurance rates, showing a 21% increase over 2025. Combined with the expiration of the enhanced Affordable Care Act premium subsidies at the end of the year, premiums are expected to rise by 65% for Washingtonians who receive subsidized coverage. If Congress doesn’t act, 80,000 people in our state are expected to lose their health care.
