Suzan Shows Up in WA-01: January 22-26

As always, it was great to spend this week meeting with leaders across the 1st district to hear about the great work they are doing and discuss the ways we can work together to support our communities.

Reproductive Freedom Roundtable in Kirkland

DelBene hosts reproductive health care roundtable in Kirkland.

To mark the 51^st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, I hosted a roundtable with doctors and advocates to discuss the ongoing efforts to limit access to reproductive and abortion care across the country. I also shared what I'm doing in Congress to stop federal funds from going to "crisis pregnancy centers" that mislead people and spread disinformation. I will continue to fight against attempts to chip away at reproductive freedom.

I met with Kirkland Mayor Kelli Curtis to hear more about the City’s priorities and discuss how we can work together to deliver for families and local businesses.

Lake Washington School District Visit in Redmond

DelBene visits Lake Washington School District in Redmond

I also met with Lake Washington School District leadership to discuss the district’s priorities and how Congress can support our schools and students. During my visit, we also discussed how federal investments from the bipartisan infrastructure law are being used to purchase two new electric buses.

As always, I look forward to spending time with you at meetings, events, and other activities across the district. Let’s continue to work together to move the 1st District forward.
