Dear Friend,

Earlier today, I voted to advance bipartisan legislation that supports our nation’s national security and humanitarian objectives. 

The Ukrainian people are in dire need of further military aid to defend against Putin’s assault. American inaction only emboldens Putin, Hamas, Iran, and other authoritarian regimes around the world. Fortunately, a bipartisan group of lawmakers pushed back against Republican extremism and isolationism to follow through on America’s commitments to our allies. 

The bill the House passed today gives our allies much-needed defense and economic support. It also provides critical humanitarian assistance to innocent civilians caught in conflict in Gaza and around the world. 

The Senate must now immediately take up this legislation. Our allies cannot wait any longer.
