Dear Friend,

I spent the week meeting with community leaders, small business owners, health care providers, and local workers to hear directly from them about the challenges they’re facing from the Trump administration and how I can best advocate for them in Congress. These conversations guide my work to lower costs, grow our economy, and protect vital programs like Medicare and Medicaid.

Bellevue Rotary Club
I joined the Bellevue Rotary Club for a conversation about my work in Congress and the key issues impacting our region—from increasing affordable housing to modernizing infrastructure to protecting our democracy. I’m grateful to these community leaders for their continued service and dedication to making Bellevue a better place to live and work.

Tariffs Impacting Local Breweries
I held a roundtable at Postdoc Brewing Company in Redmond to hear how tariffs and rising costs are affecting local brewers. Our brewers are innovative small businesses that strengthen local economies and I’ll continue pushing for policies that help this important Washington industry.

Protecting Medicaid & Medicare Day
I visited Redmond Care and Rehabilitation Center and Redmond Heights Senior Living as part of a national day of action to raise awareness about harmful cuts to Medicare and Medicaid. These programs are lifelines for millions of Americans. As Republicans continue threatening these essential benefits, I’m fighting to protect and strengthen them.

HDR Visit in Bellevue
I toured HDR’s Bellevue office and met with leadership to learn about their work in engineering, architecture, and design. I also held a Q&A with employees where we discussed workforce development, infrastructure investment, and how Congress can better support innovation in the Pacific Northwest.
