Unfortunately, the federal government shut down as of midnight on September 30, 2025, because Congress failed to pass a bill to continue funding federal agencies. Trump and Congressional Republicans put forth a partisan funding proposal that would continue their health care cuts, dramatically raise health care premiums in our state, and kick thousands off their health coverage. I urge them to come back to the table to find a bipartisan solution to end this shutdown as soon as possible and restore Americans' access to critical government resources.
