With the traditional start of summer, it was great to spend another busy week in our community. Here are some highlights from my recent events and meetings with local officials and community members from across WA-01.

Honoring Memorial Day in Mill Creek

A Memorial Day Message from Rep. DelBene

On this Memorial Day, I joined Mill Creek Mayor Holtzclaw, local officials, veterans, and community members to honor and remember the brave servicemembers who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our nation and defend our democracy.

Delivering $850K to Mountlake Terrace for Main Street Revitalization

I joined Mayor Matsumoto Wright and local officials in Mountlake Terrace to deliver $850,000 in federal funding I secured for critical road upgrades. These improvements will connect residents to housing, jobs, and the upcoming Sound Transit station. During my visit, I also attended a roundtable with local leaders to discuss the city's vision for improving and connecting our community.

Delivering $1.3M to Kenmore for Culvert Replacement

I stopped by Kenmore to deliver $1.3 million in federal funding for local fish migration and habitat restoration efforts. This funding will replace a culvert in the Swamp Creek Tributary that blocks salmon and other fish passage, ensuring our ecosystems remain clean and safe for years to come.

WCIT Trade Summit in Seattle

I attended the Washington Council on International Trade summit to discuss how federal policymakers and local leaders can work together to advance smart trade policies that will drive jobs and economic growth across the Pacific Northwest.

Veterans Advisory Board Meeting in Kirkland

I hosted the inaugural meeting of my new Veterans Advisory Board in Kirkland to learn more about our local veterans’ stories, challenges, and key priorities. I am so thankful for their service and look forward to working together to support our veteran community and their families.
