Suzan Shows Up in WA-01: March 17-March 21

It was great to spend another week in the district attending events and meeting constituents to discuss what I'm working on in Congress, priorities in our community, and how we can work together to address our region's most pressing issues -- including those brought on by the new administration.

Overlake Medical Center Visit

In Bellevue, I met with Overlake Medical Center President and CEO Jon Duarte to discuss the potential impacts of Medicaid cuts in House Republicans’ budget plan. One-in-five Washingtonians are covered by Medicaid/Apple Health including 800,000 children. I will continue fighting in Congress to protect the most vulnerable in our communities. Washington Council on International Trade Summit

I joined the Washington Council on International Trade’s annual summit to discuss the impacts from Trump’s tariffs on Washington jobs, businesses, and families. Washington relies heavily on trade and I will continue to support legislation and initiatives that protect jobs and lower prices. Portal Ribbon Cutting in Bothell

I was in Bothell to celebrate the opening of aerospace company Portal’s new offices and manufacturing facility. I’m excited to have another innovator in space technology within our community.
