DelBene Landslide Law Delivers $300,000 to WA Dear friend,   Washington is receiving $300,000 in federal funding made possible by the National Landslide Preparedness Act. I authored and championed this law after the tragic 2014 Oso landslide to help save lives, protect property, and better protect communities from these disasters. This is part of the first set of grant awards from the law and will be used by the state to survey potential landslide hazards in Clark County. Check out what KIRO is saying about this funding and its impact on our communities here.

DelBene Landslide Law Delivers $300,000 to WA

Dear friend,

Washington is receiving $300,000 in federal funding made possible by the National Landslide Preparedness Act.

National Landslide Preparedness Act

The National Landslide Preparedness Act is set to expire at the end of September. I am working with Congresswomen Schrier and Gluesenkamp Perez, and Senators Cantwell and Murkowski to renew this law so we can help prevent the next natural disaster from becoming the next national tragedy. The House passed my reauthorization bill in April, and it is now awaiting action in the Senate.

If you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact my Kirkland office at (425) 485-0085 or delbene.house.gov. For more updates on what I’m doing for WA-01, you can follow me on social media at the links above.

Take care,
