Today, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene applauded an announcement by the Department of Justice that the Skagit County Sheriff’s office will receive $250,000 in COPS grant funding to hire two additional officers, part of $124 million made available nationally by the Department of Justice COPS Office, COPS Hiring Program (CHP) grant to create and/or preserve law enforcement jobs nationwide.

Today, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene announced that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded two grants to Friends of Youth: $149,500 to support their Basic Center Program, which works to meet immediate needs of runaway and homeless youth, and $139,776 for their Street Outreach Program, which works to help young people get off the streets.
