Katie Colvin, 425

Kirkland’s Lake Washington High School hosted Rep. Suzan DelBene and U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona last week for a campus tour.

Accompanied by the U.S. Secret Service, Cardona and DelBene walked the campus with LWHS principal Christine Bell. Much of the visit focused on the school's courses promoting career and technical education like robotics and engineering, a LWSD press release said.

In an urban agriculture class, students shared “the importance of growing food in new and creative ways with the potential impact climate change may have on future agriculture,” the release said.
