Finally, A Vote on Trump’s Tariffs Dear Friend,  I know many of you are worried about the rising cost of living, especially in our region. One of the biggest reasons prices keep going up is President Trump’s sweeping tariffs. These tariffs are taxes that increase the cost of everyday items, like groceries, housing, and energy bills.  I’ve said since the start that these tariffs are illegal because Congress, not the president, sets trade policy. Republicans tried for a year to avoid voting on Trump’s tariffs, but this week we successfully forced a vote – and it passed!
