republicans spend $70 billion on ice instead of lowering your prices

This week, Republicans passed their latest budget bill. Instead of focusing on lowering costs for you, Republicans fell in line behind Trump and voted to give $70 billion to ICE with no strings attached.

After the waves of violence that immigration agents committed across the country and the brutal killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in broad daylight, Americans demanded reforms to ICE. But Republicans refused to include any commonsense changes in their budget, like requiring judicial warrants, prohibiting masks, and mandating body cameras.

The Republican budget is completely out of touch. While many families in our community struggle to make ends meet amid the rising cost of food, health care, child care, housing, and energy bills, Republicans in Congress are once again breaking their promise to lower the high cost of living for Americans. I will keep fighting to make life more affordable, our communities safer, and hold this administration accountable for its broken promises.
