I spent the week listening and working with community leaders, students, farmers, and health care workers about the challenges they are facing and how I can best advocate for them in Congress. These conversations guide my work to grow our economy, lower costs, and protect health care.

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo

I joined Centro Cultural Mexicano for their annual Cinco de Mayo celebration in Redmond. It was a great event to bring us together and celebrate our diverse community. Thank you to Centro Cultural Mexicano for organizing an incredible event!

Arlington High School Visit

I stopped by AP government and history classes at Arlington High School and answered student questions on what’s happening in Congress. I also participated in a conversation with student journalists. It was wonderful to speak with so many students!

Tariffs and Rising Fuel Costs

Trump’s policies are hurting hardworking Americans. Small business owners and farmers are the ones hardest hit by tariffs and rising fuel costs. I toured Seattle Children’s Bellevue Clinic & Surgery Center. I spoke with CEO Dr. Longhurst about the negative impact of Republican health care cuts in our community. Supporting Child Care

Families deserve accessible and affordable child care. I stopped by a Head Start classroom in Redmond to discuss how we can support child care centers amid the Trump administration’s cuts to federal funding. I also got to read a story to Ms. Leslie's class.
