House Republicans are marching forward with their budget plan to give huge tax breaks to the wealthy. They’re trying to pay for it by cutting programs that families rely on, like Medicaid (Apple Health in Washington) and food assistance. This would raise health care and grocery costs across the country.

Their proposal will come before the Ways & Means Committee that I sit on next week. I’ll be fighting for programs that support Washington families, such as the expanded Child Tax Credit and more affordable housing, not more tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations.
