Dear Friend,

I started the week by remembering our fallen heroes for Memorial Day. I also spent time listening and working with community leaders, local volunteers, and business owners, discussing the challenges they are facing, and how I can best advocate for them in Congress. These conversations guide my work to grow our economy, lower costs, and build more affordable housing.

Mill Creek Memorial Day

Memorial Day is an important day to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. I joined Mill Creek for their annual Memorial Day ceremony to stand with our community and remember the brave servicemembers who gave their lives for our country.

PAWS Wildlife Rehabilitation Center

Washington is home to unparallelled precious wildlife. I toured the PAWS Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Snohomish, and learned how the center helps rehabilitate sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife.

Supporting Our Veterans

I met with Hanna Donlic, Director of the Everett Vet Center, to discuss the challenges veterans are facing and how we can work together to support veterans in our community.

Hearing from Snohomish County Small Businesses

Small businesses are paying the price for Trump’s misguided economic policies that have driven up costs. I met with the Economic Alliance of Snohomish County to talk with business owners and leaders about the difficulties they are facing and what we could do to help support our local economy.

Building Affordable Housing in Our Community

I celebrated the grand opening of Kirkland Heights, an affordable housing development in our community. Millions of Americans are struggling to afford rent. That’s why I’m a strong advocate for building more affordable housing. Families deserve to be able to live, work, and build their lives in their communities.
