Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022 and with ongoing challenges to reproductive health care rights, it's more important than ever to be aware of your reproductive rights. Abortion remains a legal and protected right in the state of Washington. Out-of-state residents can travel to Washington to receive reproductive health care, including abortion services and gender-affirming care; however, their home state’s laws may still apply to them. I am committed to ensuring you have accurate and up-to-date information and resources regarding access to reproductive health care. See more information below.
Federal Resources – Information about federal reproductive resources can be found on the Department of Health & Human Services' site.
Washington State Resources – In Washington, abortions are legal and a protected right by law. The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) has information regarding reproductive rights in the state that can be found here. The state has put together a fact sheet on reproductive rights that can be found here.
Washington’s Reproductive Parity Act requires that all state-regulated health care plans that cover maternity services also cover abortion services. Even if an employer objects to providing these services, the insurer must provide them at no cost to employees. If your health plan has a religious objection to providing voluntary abortions, DOH can pay for abortion services.

What I Am Doing in Congress
I have consistently opposed radical efforts that would endanger women’s health and undermine access to the full range of reproductive health services, including a nationwide abortion ban. I am a leader on the House Pro-Choice Caucus and an original cosponsor of the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would enshrine the national right to abortion into law. I have voted against every anti-choice measure brought to the floor this Congress, and I will continue to stand against efforts to weaken or subvert access to safe abortions and family planning services.
