On Monday Oct. 9th, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) will visit with Redmond City officials outside Fire Station 11 to highlight what she says the harm the Republican tax plan would have on middle-class families and municipalities, if Congress eliminates the state and local tax deductions for filers.
This month House Republicans plan to advance their tax plan, which would no longer allow families to use the state and local tax deduction, also known as SALT. That in turn would mean an average Washington family would no longer be able to deduct more than $7,000 from their taxes, according to a report from the non-partisan Tax Policy Center.
