Tax Reform
Dear Friend, Like many Washingtonians, I believe our tax code is overly complex and confusing. It is long past time to bring the tax code into the 21st century, and I remain committed to working with my colleagues on a fiscally responsible, comprehensive plan that supports the middle class and economic growth while reducing the deficit in a balanced way. That’s why I supported a tax relief package that permanently extended the state and local sales tax deduction and the Earned Income Tax Credit, providing relief for Washingtonians. This week, I’ll join the AARP to assist seniors with their tax return preparation and filing, and to ensure they receive every deduction and tax credit earned. As Tax Day approaches, my office is ready to serve you with any issue you may have with the Internal Revenue Service. If you’re having a problem, please feel free to call my Bothell office at (425) 485-0085 orsubmit a request through my website. You may also check out the IRS Frequently Asked Question page for more information. If you have questions or comments about the topics that matter most to you, I encourage you to contact me through my website. You may also keep up-to-date on what I’m doing by following me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Sincerely, Suzan |
