Washington, D.C.,
April 7, 2020
Today, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) released additional COVID-19 resources guides to help tribes, students, educators, and farmers navigate the benefits in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, the historic $2 trillion relief package recently passed by Congress and signed into law. DelBene’s newly released guides are specific to: “Congress took historic action by passing the CARES Act and now it is incumbent upon us all to make sure the communities that need these resources the most know how to access them,” said DelBene. “After releasing an initial set of COVID-19 resource guides and receiving overwhelming positive feedback from individuals and small businesses, I’m releasing additional guides to support communities navigating the provisions specific to them in the law.” The guides provide an overview of the act’s provisions specific to those populations, links to federal, state, and nonprofit resources, and answer frequently asked questions about benefits and how to access them. They will be updated regularly as the law is implemented at the federal and state levels. Additional guides are also in development.
