DelBene Announces WA-01 Winner of 2023 Congressional App Challenge

Today, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) announced the winner of the 2023 Congressional App Challenge from Washington’s 1st Congressional District. The winning app, ViziBox, was created by Aryav Taneja, from Redmond. ViziBox is used to read aloud text on documents or labels that are difficult for the visually impaired. A small device is used to take a picture of the text and then the text-to-voice app audibly reads to the user through the phone’s speakers. A demo of ViziBox can be found here.
The winning app was selected by a panel of impartial judges from our community. ViziBox will be on display in the U.S. Capitol for the next year, along with winning apps from other congressional districts. DelBene was a Co-chair of the Congressional App Challenge during the 116th Congress. More about the Congressional App Challenge can be found here. |
