DelBene concerned with NSA tracking program

A local congresswoman says she’s deeply concerned about the newly-revealed NSA program that has been tracking cell phone calls and internet use. Democratic Representative Suzan DelBene says she’s co-sponsored a bi-partisan bill that would update the Electronic Communications Privacy Act and require a warrant to access digital information. The act was written in 1986 and has not been updated since then. DelBene says she was not aware of the existence of the NSA’s broad digital tracking program. She says our society needs to have a serious debate about balancing liberty and national security.
