House Speaker Paul Ryan says legislation to repeal Obamacare would cut off taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood.

“Our goal here is to improve people’s lives, it’s to have a healthcare system that actually works,” Ryan says.

Planned Parenthood provides birth control, abortions and various women’s health services.

Democratic Senator Patty Murray of Washington says democrats are ready to fight.

“This is outrageous. This Congress just came into session. The first thing they did was try and change the ethics rule. The second thing they did was their attempt now to take away healthcare from millions of women,” she says.
