A Democratic lawmaker intends to reintroduce her bill to ban any religious registry.

The legislation is aimed at a possible registry of Muslims, which President-elect Donald Trump has discussed.

Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-Wash.) sponsored legislation in the last Congress intended to prevent such a registry.

She said she wants to "make it very, very clear" that "religious freedom is protected in the Constitution and we should not be creating a registry of this kind."
