Preventing Gun Violence
Washington, D.C.,
March 6, 2018
Dear Friend,
While I personally believe assault weapons have no place on our streets and support an assault weapons ban, in this Congress we can’t even agree to lift a ban on federally funded gun violence research. As lawmakers, we have a responsibility to protect our communities. And while there is no one law that will prevent every single instance of violence, we can and must do more to end this epidemic. I’m calling on Speaker Ryan and House leadership to allow us to vote at least on the ideas with bipartisan support, such as background checks on all gun sales and banning bump stocks. But I want to hear from you as well. As always, my office is here to serve you. If you have questions or comments about the topics that matter most to you, I encourage you to contact me through my website. You may also keep up-to-date on what I’m doing by following me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. If you need assistance dealing with a federal agency, such as the IRS or the VA, please do not hesitate to contact my Bothell office at (425) 485-0085. Sincerely,
