One of my top priorities in Congress is making sure that every American has access to affordable, high-quality care.

This week, I led a letter calling on Congressional leadership to extend the successful enhanced Affordable Care Act health insurance subsidies that helped nearly 60,000 more Washingtonians gain coverage this year and provided 73% of Washington Health Benefit Exchange customers with some form of monthly savings on their health plan.

If Congress does not act by the end of the year, millions of Americans could lose health care coverage or see their health care costs spike. During a time when prices are rising and we continue to tackle the ongoing pandemic, Americans cannot afford a price hike on their health care.

I will continue fighting to improve our health care system and expand access to coverage.
