Today, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) released the following statement after House Republicans voted to launch an impeachment inquiry against President Biden.

“After months of wasting time and taxpayer dollars on baseless attacks against President Biden and his family, House Republicans today caved once again to the most extreme wing of their party. Their decision to pursue a sham impeachment inquiry against the President, despite months of investigations that failed to produce any evidence of wrongdoing, is nothing more than an attempt to distract the American people from the fact that the Republicans have done nothing this entire year to address the urgent needs of American families.

“The American people deserve better than these petty political games. House Democrats will continue working with President Biden, and extending the hand of partnership, when possible, to lower costs for American families, support the middle class, and protect freedom and democracy in the U.S. and around the world.”
